Welcome back to my latest segment on American Dream TV! In this exciting Episode 2, I had the incredible opportunity to dive into the heart of Washington, D.C., by interviewing Virginia Ali, co-founder of the legendary Ben’s Chili Bowl. Since its founding in 1958 by Virginia and her husband Ben, this iconic eatery has not only served up delicious chili-covered half-smokes but has also played a significant role in the civil rights movement. With expansions to Washington National Airport, the DC Convention Center, and Nationals Park, plus a move into retail, Ben’s Chili Bowl is set to embark on franchising in 2024.
But that’s not all for this episode. I also ventured into Montgomery County, Maryland, to explore the Kentlands community – a 352-acre planned neighborhood with over 1,600 residences. Here, I was warmly welcomed into the home of a local owner, giving me a unique glimpse into the lifestyle and charm of living in this vibrant community.
